This “3MR” was based on the Three Minute Thesis competition that originated at University of Queensland in Australia. Competitors have three minutes and one slide to present their research to a lay audience. Winners are chosen based on each speaker’s ability to engage the audience, convey enthusiasm, the quality of the slide, and stage presence.

The audience included students, faculty, and staff from several campus departments and centers. Everyone partook of the provided lunch when the presentations were finished, then Master of Ceremonies Lee Han announced Dr. Chris Cherry as the winner.

The next CTR Fellows 3MR competition will take place during the 2017 Fall Semester.
