| The Southeastern Transportation Center (STC) is an umbrella program operating under the Center for Transportation Research at the University of Tennessee. It is the U.S. DOT University Transportation Center that represents the eight Region IV States: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. Five of these states are home to STC member institutions. |

The STC is dedicated to training professionals to address the transportation needs of the region and nation. Dr. Stephen Richards, director of the Center for Transportation Research, serves as the STC director while DeAnna Flinchum assists Dr. Richards as the Co-director. Not only is STC dedicated to training professionals, but it is attracting talented students into the transportation field while enhancing the efficiency of transportation in the future. STC sponsors outstanding individuals to pursue graduate degrees at member institutions and has a major undergraduate degree program headquartered at North Carolina A&T University.
