Alex Bright
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Bright is a sophomore majoring in Cinema Studies. He is currently a videography intern for CTR’s #GetConvinced teen driving safety program. He will create instructional and educational videos for peer-to-peer, partner, and online use.
Joe Dunbar
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Joe is a senior at UTK, Majoring in Business Analytics & statistics with a Supply Chain Management Collateral. Upon graduation, he will attend Undergraduate Pilot Training for the Air Force. Joe is a marketing/outreach intern with CTR’s teen outreach program #GetConvinced. He currently assists with program refinement, event preparation and management, as well as teen driving/pedestrian safety research.
Elizabeth Duty
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Duty is a senior in Biomedical Engineering at UTK. She is a CTR intern working under Dr. Jerry Everett to research current STEM activities that are used by students in middle and high school. This will help to create a new STEM problem-based learning activity that corresponds to the school curriculum in the future.
Sophia Jodoin
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Jodoin is currently a Senior at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, studying Sustainability and Geography. She is assisting in TEAM-TN’s engine development research to provide a more equitable mobility ecosystem in the state of Tennessee through an NSF-funded grant. She is working to provide a social science background to the equity side of the TEAM-TN engine initiative.
Sarah LaFetra
RESEARCH INTERESTS
LaFetra is a Survey Design Intern for TN Vans. She will assist in developing a client survey to gauge interest in alternatively fueled vehicles.
Ashkan Neshagaran

RESEARCH INTERESTS
Neshagaran is responsible for supporting various research projects and assisting in the collection, analysis, and documentation of research data both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Other responsibilities include preparing research reports, presentations, and assisting with grant applications.
Changwha Oh
Graduate Research Assistant
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Provides GIS, data analysis and modeling support for the Tennessee Model User Group (TNMUG). He assists Dr. Jerry Everett in performing GIS analysis for traffic counts, special generators and other transportation related data. Additionally, Changwha provides research and analysis support in the development of TnTown, a standardized travel demand model for small MPOs in Tennessee. He also participates in TNMUG meetings, training sessions and other TNMUG events.
Grady Owen
Graduate Research Assistant
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Grady is assisting Dr. Jerry Everett as they perform a transportation skills gap analysis and inventory for CR2C2. Additionally, he will assist with analyzing the results of the inventory to determine missing components in the existing training/education offerings.
Savannah Patel
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Savannah Patel is a junior majoring in marketing at the University of Tennessee Knoxville. She is an intern working to find local sponsors for the #GetConvinced program. In addition to this, she provides support in the program’s teen highway safety at events at East Tennessee high schools.
Alexis Sullivan
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Alexis Sullivan is a second-year mechanical engineering major. As a CTR student intern, she is working under Jerry Everett to research current STEM kits for kids based around transportation technologies to later assist in developing a kit or lesson for CTR.
Szaviea Wynn
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Szaviea Wynn is a senior studying Sociology and English at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. As an Equity Research intern, she is working under Jerry Everett to strategize, develop, and execute research regarding equity considerations in transportation studies.
