Transportation Engineer: Center for Transportation Research, Nashville

The Transportation Engineer, under general supervision, is responsible for Transportation Modeling and Planning work of considerable difficulty; and performs related work as required.

An employee in this classification acts as a team lead for a unit responsible for transportation modeling and planning duties. An incumbent may be assigned to work in any area of transportation modeling or planning and may participate in the varied development, monitoring, and coordination of transportation modeling or planning projects. This role requires considerable knowledge of and experience with the principles, methods, and practices of 4-Step travel demand models.

Administrative Associate: Center for Transportation Research, Nashville

This full-time position through the Center for Transportation Research (CTR) will be funded through a grant from the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT). The position will be located at TDOT Headquarters in Nashville and will consist of a combination of administrative, recruitment, event coordination, and logistical assistance for the TDOT’s Planning Division.

Principal Business Manager: Center for Transportation Research, Knoxville

The Principal Business Manager leads financial management, budgeting processes, human resources administration, business operations, and data reporting for the unit. The position ensures the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of all financial activities, coordinates sponsored research budgeting and post award financial management, and provides guidance to faculty, staff, and leadership regarding fiscal and operational decisions. The role maintains internal controls, advises leadership on strategic initiatives, supports compliance, oversee staff performance, manages space planning, and coordinates the acquisition and analysis of critical data for reporting, audits, accreditation, and academic program review.
