09/27/25: AMIL at the Knoxville Drive Electric Festival

September 18, 2025

The Knoxville Electric Vehicle Association (KEVA), and Drive Electric Tennessee (DET) are bringing you the 2025 Knoxville Drive Electric Festival on the campus of Pellissippi State Community College (PSCC) at 10915 Hardin Valley Rd, Knoxville. The Festival has been among the largest National Drive Electric Month events in North America (out of about 300), with over 120 EVs representing 40 different models.

This event will be held at 10915 Hardin Valley Road on Saturday, September 27th from 10AM to 3PM.

The UT Center for Transportation Research will have staff tabling at this event representing the AMIL program. The Advanced Mobility Innovation Lab (AMIL) program is dedicated to advancing STEM education and fostering innovation. The mission is to create enhanced educational opportunities for rural/urban core students through hands-on learning and exposure to cutting-edge transportation technologies. AMIL’s goal is to inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers, and technologists. The program’s focus on eye-catching demonstrations and project-based learning ensures that students learn about STEM principles and see their real-world applications. After the first school event at Lakeway Christian Academy in 2024, about half of students reported they were more likely to pursue a career in STEM!
