Amelia Spina has been a Program Administrator working with UTK and TDOT since May of 2025. She acts as a liaison between the Center for Transportation Research and the Department of Transportation for Tennessee administering the state’s research program to ensure UTK is innovating towards the future. Her current responsibilities include managing active research projects and assisting in the DOT’s Research Program day-to-day operations.

She has a career in higher education starting her professional career at the University of Central Florida in the College of Medicine and most recently at VU.

Amelia has earned an A.A.S. with Distinction in Music Business from Mesa Community College and a B.S. in Entertainment Management from the University of Central Florida.
