Anthea Sugira Rwamurangwa is a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Tennessee’s Center for Transportation Research (CTR), where she is pursuing a Master of Science in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Transportation Engineering. She holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from INES-Ruhengeri, Rwanda. Her research focuses on sustainable and equitable transportation systems, with particular interests in public transportation, transportation safety, gender equity in mobility, and travel behavior. Her current research examines how gender representation in transportation advertising influences public perceptions and women’s career intentions in the public transport sector in Kigali, Rwanda.
