David Bushayija is a graduate research assistant at the University of Tennessee’s Center for Transportation Research. Originally from Rwanda, he recently joined UT as a master’s student in Civil Engineering with a focus on transportation systems. David is passionate about using data-driven approaches to improve transportation infrastructure, safety, and sustainability. He is currently supporting research projects related to traffic operations and infrastructure planning. With a background in engineering and a strong interest in applied research, David brings an international perspective and a commitment to practical impact in the field of transportation.
