Sheikh Muhammad Usman
PhD Candidate in Transportation Engineering
Usman’s research aims to address critical challenges in transportation engineering, with a focus on improving safety for under-protected road users, enhancing rural and small-town mobility, and supporting data-driven infrastructure planning and technology adoption. By integrating advanced statistical modeling, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and emerging tools such as digital twins into his work, he hopes to advance how we understand and manage crash risk, evaluate new mobility technologies, and create safer, more resilient, and more accessible transportation systems.
