Zeinab Bayati

PhD Candidate in Transportation Engineering

Zeinab Bayati is passionate about learning, exploring, and applying technology to solve real-world problems in transportation. As a Ph.D. candidate in Transportation Engineering at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK), she has been able to dive into AI, machine learning, and advanced statistical methods to better understand and improve pedestrian safety.

She enjoys working at the intersection of engineering, statistics, and technology, where data-driven insights meet practical safety solutions. These skills not only support her work in transportation but are also highly adaptable to other complex datasets and interdisciplinary challenges.

Zeinab is eager to continue expanding her knowledge of autonomous vehicles (AVs) and exploring how emerging technologies can merge with transportation engineering to create safer, smarter, and more sustainable systems. At CTR she has been applying her AV skills to the Advanced Mobility Innovation Lab program under Dr. Jerry Everett.

Innovative solutions for the future of mobility.
