WBIR Channel 10 Covered the #GetConvinced Teen Driver Safety Program
At our second Cocke County High School event of the year, WBIR Channel 10 filmed CTR’s teen driver safety program in action, and aired the story on August 22nd.
During the event, the WBIR reporter interviewed a student, who shared the following after riding our seatbelt convincer (a 5-7 mile per hour crash simulator):
“It’s definitely important to wear your seatbelt, a lot more important than most people play it out to be. Most teenagers, especially ones I’ve been in a car with, they say they don’t care if you’re wearing a seatbelt.”
This widespread misconception among teenagers is among the issues that #GetConvinced attempts to address with our events. Our events typically include activities such as our seatbelt convincer, VR distracted driving simulations, sobriety test demonstrations with drunk goggles, Kahoot interactive safe driving quizzes, and much more.
